Miles Of Traffic Backups On I-81 In Central PA

Sudden lane closures have led to miles of backups on Interstate 81 in Central Pennsylvania on Thursday evening, authorities say.

There is a crash on I-81 North between exits 72 B Linglestown and 77: PA 39 Manada Hill /Hershey on July 27, 2023, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The crash was blocking all lanes when it was called into authorities in Dauphin County shortly after 4 p.m., but one lane reopened just before 5 p.m., PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice.

There is no word on any injuries.
